Cummins JetScan 4068 Currency Counter/Scanner, Used
This runs very well, scans large stacks with no issues, and it's quiet. New parts are- center drive tire, large O-Rings, small O-ring, and 4 transport tires.. Clean it once a month or so, and it'll run well for years. The photos show the actual 4068 for sale. Includes bill hopper, power cord, and printed user guide. Do you get a 4068 or 4062? There is only one difference between the two models and it is the counterfeit detection. A 4068 does not have counterfeit detection, although it will catch low grade printed counterfeit bills, and display'check note / no call'.
This happens because all JetScans measure the distance between the center of one ink dot, to the center of it's adjacent ink dot. Each denomination has a specific distance between the dots and inkjets cannot replicate this because of bleeding/spread of the ink. A 4062 has magnetic ink detection only, iron is in the ink around the president's head.
This is a older, low grade type of counterfeiting, and can easily be defeated with a dot of iron ink, or common iron marking pens.
